Specialties

I possess advanced training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

I’m particularly passionate about serving veterans, adolescents, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Additionally, I enjoy assisting adults of diverse backgrounds as they navigate various life and mental health challenges. Please note that I do not work with children under the age of 12, and I accept couples on a case-by-case basis.

My expertise spans a wide range of issues, including grief and loss, life transitions, and both minor and major depression, as well as severe mental illnesses such as schizoaffective disorder. Furthermore, I possess specialized training to support clients diagnosed with trauma-related conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Depression and Anxiety Counseling

Depression and anxiety can affect how individuals experience themselves, relationships, and daily life. I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space to explore these concerns, build insight, and develop coping strategies. Services are collaborative and paced to support emotional safety and individual needs.

Grief and Loss Counseling

Grief and loss may impact emotional, physical, and relational well-being in different ways. I provide space to process loss at an individual pace, without expectations about how grief “should” look. Therapy focuses on support, understanding, and adaptation over time.

Stress Management Counseling

Ongoing stress can affect both mental and physical functioning. I help clients increase awareness of stress responses and develop skills to support regulation and balance. Sessions emphasize collaboration, choice, and practical strategies for daily life.

Life Transitions Counseling

Life transitions such as career changes, relationship shifts, relocation, aging, or changes in family roles can bring uncertainty, stress, and emotional adjustment. I provide a supportive space to explore these changes at your own pace while honoring past experiences and current needs. Sessions emphasize collaboration, emotional safety, and practical support during periods of change.

Trauma and PTSD Counseling

Traumatic experiences may influence emotional regulation, sense of safety, and nervous system responses. Trauma-informed therapy prioritizes stabilization, emotional safety, and client autonomy while addressing trauma-related concerns. Care is provided at a pace guided by the client’s readiness and goals.

Counseling for Military and Veterans

Military service members and veterans may experience stress related to service, transition, or reintegration. I am a veteran myself and can provide a confidential, respectful setting that recognizes military culture and individual experience. Services are strength-based and tailored to each client’s needs.

Counseling for LGBTQIA+

Affirming LGBTQIA+ therapy provides a supportive space where diverse identities and experiences are respected and validated. I recognize the impact of minority stress and systemic factors on queer lives. I support self-exploration, authenticity and well-being. Therapy is collaborative, inclusive, and grounded in respect.

Counseling for Young Adults

Young adulthood often involves significant transitions related to identity, relationships, education, and career. My therapeutic work with young adults supports identity exploration, relationships, and life direction while strengthening emotional regulation and self-trust. Sessions are paced with attention to autonomy, safety, and growth.
