Psychoeducation is an evidence-based therapeutic intervention that teaches patients and their families about a mental health or medical condition, its symptoms, and treatment options [Wikipedia]. It’s a structured way for healthcare providers to share clear information about a diagnosis and how it affects daily life [ScienceDirect]. The goal of psychoeducation is to help individuals understand their symptoms, recognize early warning signs of relapse, and make informed choices about their care [NIH National Library of Medicine]. The benefits of psychoeducation are empowerment from knowledge, adherence to treatment plans, and coping skills. learned from identifying personal triggers.
